Ducks Fall to #9 Iowa Central in two close games. DCTC Schedule change to Sunday/Monday
Century Baseball lost two tight ball games to nationally ranked Iowa Central on Tuesday in Fort Dodge, IA. (recaps below) The Wood Ducks series with DCTC in River Falls, WI has been changed to a Sunday and Monday. Both days will start at 10 am.

The Wood Ducks watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 2-0 loss to Iowa Central CC on Tuesday.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Iowa Central CC pitchers struck out five, while Century College Wood Ducks sat down three. Iowa Central CC fired up the offense in the first inning. Colten Becker grounded out, scoring one run. One bright spot for Century was a single by Zach Bruns in the third inning. Nile Foss was the winning pitcher for Iowa Central CC. The lefty surrendered zero runs on one hit over seven innings, striking out five and walking one. Ryan Bell took the loss for Century College Wood Ducks. The righthander allowed five hits and two runs over six innings, striking out three.

Century fought back after falling down by five runs in the sixth inning. The comeback fell just short though, in an 8-7 defeat to Iowa Central CC in game 2. The Wood Ducks scored four runs in the failed comeback on a single by Brock Larsen, a double by Nick Ibrahim, and a single by Blaine Guthrie.
Despite the loss, Century College Wood Ducks did collect ten hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Iowa Central CC had 11 hits on the way to victory. Century got on the board in the first inning with an Ibrahim singled scoring Bruns. Iowa Central CC pulled away for good with five runs in the third inning. Century College Wood Ducks notched four runs in the ninth inning. Larsen, Ibrahim, and Guthrie all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Dylan Immel took the loss for the Wood Ducks going four innings, allowing six runs on seven hits and striking out three.
The Woodies saw the ball well, racking up ten hits in the game. Larsen, Ibrahim, Bruns, and Guthrie each had multiple hits. Larsen went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead the Wood Ducks in hits.
